Pilot vehicle development

Based on the powertrain concept and the previous technical developments, the first technology demonstrator, a Mercedes Sprinter, was completed and tested for full functionality on a chassis dynamometer in a real-life test.

HYDROPORTDRIVE funding project

An HTM powertrain will be used for the first time in the subsidised Hydroportdrive project. To this end, an airport ground support vehicle will be completely converted to run on hydrogen and put into pilot operation at our partner airport.

Pioneering spirit start-up prize 2023

“Best start-up idea” – we were awarded this title in the Pioneering Spirit competition. This award confirms the ambitions we are pursuing with HTM.

Powertrain development

In co-operation with the Institute for Internal Combustion Engines and Vehicle Drives (VKM) at TU Darmstadt, a modular vehicle powertrain system was gradually developed for use in commercial vehicles, starting with initial engine tests.

Sep 2019

Company foundation & founding team

HTM was founded on 18 September 2019 by the founders Silas Hofmann and Maximlian Wack. Jonas Kahl and Daniel Mescheryakov later joined the founding team.
